i have a couple cars that i would want to have, instead of a set price, something along the lines of "please call" or "$ ASK $".
is this possible or easily done with some code changes?

Setting the car price to 0 or 1 will do that - I think its 1
0 is "sold" |

i know that "0" will get me "sold" but "1" only shows up as "$1"...which is NOT the price i'd want for the collector's Mercedes 190SL convertible.
i would like to be able to have an option to show that the car is for sale BUT without a listed price. |

I was going by the help - top right button on the admin screen - click vehicle administration, then a link to vehicle editing to get this text:
PRICE: the price of your vehicle in the currency defined for your site (see site editing). Leave the price blank to show the vehicle as 'SOLD', or enter '1' to show 'PLEASE CALL'. |

harroldsheep - if entering '1' does not show 'PLEASE CALL', check which version of AutoDirector you're running at the bottom of the control panel. It was introduced in v1.6, but v1.7 is the latest (you can upgrade for free).
