Hi

Is there any way to have a search from with multiple fields?

Even if there's just a way of combining the fields into the GET variable.

Also do you know how to place the EURO sign so that it's prefixing the price instead of placed after it?

Many Thanks for the software

Hi Kinger.

The search on the showroom itself does search multiple fields by default.

To put the Euro sign before the price, change lines 65 and 66 of client/carlist.js to:

currencystart: "\u20ac",
currencyend: "",

I hope that helps.

Thanks for you reply, I have now changed the Euro sign. With regards to the search, what I meant was that it would be udeful to have a search form with different fields for make, model, colour etc.

Is there no way to do this at all?

Many thanks in advance

Keep an eye out for v1.9. It'll be released shortly and could be just what you need...
Incidentally, upgrades from v1.8 are free and you won't lose any data.

Hi, unfortunately my client is less than happy with the search facility, do you know when this version will be released?

The problem with using FULLTEXT search is that by default words under 4 chrarcters are not indexed, and considering thar cars are usually called a4 or kia or m4 this is quite a fundamental issue unless you are usuing your own mysql server where I'm assuming you coould change ft_min_word_len=4 to ft_min_word_len=2, but we are running on shared hosting.

Does anyone know a way to get around this problem?

Many Thanks in advance :)

All going well, the v1.9 release will be available from this website by the middle of October 2010.

I've sent you a pre-release copy to test.
