It doesnt matter what name I use i am unable to create a new site?

You cannot create a site (showroom) with an ID name which has been used before. "example" is provided when you install AutoDirector for the first time.

However, it sounds to me as though there's a problem with your installation. The most likely culprit is file permissions and AutoDirector cannot write to the data folder. Did you see any red errors when running setup.php?
